MAXIME TOURATIER
Maxime Touratier is just off-category. The Paris based artist invented a new way to do illustrations, he's photographing light shining out of small holes on black paper, drawing most of the time prestige subjects. Touratier refashions photography as if he were a sculptor. He meticulously applies optical and chemical supports to transform contemporary photography, playing with blank spaces, and with spaces around the object in such a way that essence of the object becomes heightened. Maxime Touratier studied at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Bourges, France and received his Masters at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nantes, France. The Ÿber premium touch of Touratier's work has created a huge interest in the luxury goods market. Cartier and Guerlain have already used his talent. This bright man is affiliated with Chez Antoine in Paris. by Yvan Rodic

STRANGE GLAMOUR - SEVERINE ASSOUS
Severine Assous is a 33 year old illustrator and advertising art director based in Paris with magic on her fingertips. Everything she touches becomes stylish. If her illustrations look like a continuous party, you've fallen for the trick: in fact, they are just beautiful people nesting at home or walking in the street. Her secret is to twist the colors while keeping a realistic outline. Her ideal person has black arms, mauve legs, green faces, blue lips--a far cry from French fashion illustration cliches. Severine Assous works for several French magazines and has illustrated 4 children's albums in the past 3 years. MR MUCHO - COOL MOSIACS
It's seems cool to be a Norwegian pupil. These mosaics are a project for a public school in Trondheim, Norway. The Oslo based artistMr.Mucho worked together with Bo Wallstrom, and the project took them about 3 weeks to realize and about 6 months of preparation. It includes two identical rooms above each other. So when you are outside, you can see both pieces. They had used ceramic tiles in different sizes, and about one thousand of them are screen-printed with different designs. The main pieces are large and are located on both floors. Smaller ones in the kitchen section of the same room. When the water is running, it comes out of their noses. The heaters also have tiles on, turning them into "robots", that only can be seen from outside. Mr. Mucho and his friends are now planning a large outdoors project in the center of Oslo, where they will take mosaics to a new level by using more personal printed tiles combined with classic Moroccan and Turkish tiles. Mr. Mucho has designed graffiti since 1990. He writes traditional graffiti in new ways. When he is not painting canvasses or sewing dolls in his studio, he takes care of his family. He now works with all mediums, mostly acrylic paint and spray paint. He was published in several books like "Overground" in 2003 at Dokument Forlag, as one of 9 nordic writers/artists. by Yvan Rodic

HYPER-ELEGANT MANKIND
They are long-limbed, wided-eye and knowing, they have long necks and a touch of the extraterrestrial. Where do they come from? These haughty figures of the high life are simply populating the universe of Ed Tsuwaki. This Tokyo based illustrator was born 39 years ago in Hiroshima. He began his career as an illustrator in 1986. He developed his current style in 1994 when he started using the computer for illustration. "Illustrating is like giving birth to the other self in me" he says. For the past few years he illustrated numerous portraits on various international fashion magazines, such as Wallpaper, IdN, Avant Garde, Vogue, Elle, advertisements (Mo‘t & Chandon, Levis, L'Oreal...), album sleeves of Japanese artists and book cover design. To date he has only exhibited work in solo exhibitions in his own country, bar one in London and one in Paris. In 2001, Tsuwaki launched a clothing brand, Naked Bunch, of which he managed all of the design process, alongside a collaboration with Triumph International to create an exclusive collection in Japan called "Cosmetic+Ed". Ed Tsuwaki definitely invented a new mankind, the hyper-elegant one. by Yvan Rodic
