Powdered Romantic colours, whitened and almost ephemeral. A poetic impression of purity and freshness illuminated with a touch of preciousness. The lightness and suppleness, the natural and charm of hair spread in generous and loose curls.
Natural fibres hold pride of place. Their qualities are magnified and they become luxurious. Fine cottons, with smooth and lustrous surfaces, give silky handle to circular knits and poplins. Wavy and crepe yarns enhance the hazy appearance. Chines, lightly space dyed yarns, and thin and elongated slubs create filigree patterns. Linen and ramie, either pure or blended with silk or cotton, or twisted with polyamide, play on transparency and lightness. Organza and spun silk, sometimes enriched with iridescent flat yarns brings the precious accent.
Energetic A bright, dynamic and provocative spirit. Clear and sparkling colours, absolutely artificial to attract attention. Think about punk hair and also Pop Art. The desire to astonish sustains the fanciful imagination. Lines and shapes are precise, almost rigid, and the materials are dense and sleek. Natural, artificial and synthetic fibres mix in unprejudiced ways.
Linen, cotton and paper are combined with mono-filament polyamide to obtain dry and crisp handles. Multiplies and multifibres thrown yarns and space-dyed yarns carry on in dazzling colour combinations.
Yarns are lacquered, coated or covered with thin transparent strip or with textured polyamide to achieve an even more slippery consistency.
Decorated A tonal modulation wavering between daring vividness and shaded hues. The search for beauty and balance links natural with exoticism in a determinedly modern spirit. Adornment states its permanence with refinement and freshness. The exuberance of fibres intensifies the brightness of colours and reveals the luxurious sensuality of the story.
Plant fibres, such as linen, hemp, bamboo and ramie, interweave their matt look and dry handle with the shine and softness of silk, viscose and acetate. Slubs, shantung, wavy and thrown yarns draw subtle undulations on the surfaces and shade the colours. Alloying with synthetic flat yarns creates play of transparency revealed by alternating threads or by burnt-out printing.
Plaited The material density and the yarn sophisticated structure disclose the light and mysterious depth of dark blues and browns. Colours of black, colours of earth, colours of indigo. We recognise the bold imagination, the controlled balance and the strength of details that make African hair-style so beautiful. Technique arranges Nature without mishandling it.
Compact and slightly rigid covered and cable yarns create glossy reflections and underline the neat structure of weaves and knits. Cotton, viscose and polyester intermingle their matt and shiny aspects. Linen states its coarser identity with thicker counts and high twisting. Polyurethane or silicone coatings produce wet appearance.
